I was really relieved when I finished a public speaking assignment. Looking back at the presentation we did in our communications class about people who made a difference in the world I realized that I learned something really valuable. I learned that working together with students can be a really great experience.

In school people often do not like working in groups because they think that some people will not do their share of the work.. Our group was different. We worked well together. Helped each other out. We made sure to talk to each other and make sure everyone was doing okay. This made our project really good.

In a lot of cases when students work in groups they just do their thing and then put it all together at the end.. We did not do it that way. We worked together from the start. We shared our ideas. Helped each other when we got stuck. This made our project really strong.

Our project was about people who made a difference in the world. We looked at people who saw problems and did something about them. We looked at people who changed the way things were done. My group looked at Marie Curie, who was a scientist. She was born in Poland in 1867. She had to work hard to get an education because it was not easy for women to go to school back then. She went to school in Paris. Met her husband there. Together they did some important research and discovered two new elements.

Marie Curie was a smart person who did not give up. She kept working when things were tough. She even helped out during World War I by using her knowledge of X-rays to help wounded soldiers. She made vehicles that could take X-ray machines to the battlefield. This was a big deal and it helped a lot of people.

Looking at Marie Curies life we saw that she was a brave person who was not afraid to try new things. She showed us that if we want to make a difference we have to be brave and work hard. We also saw that she was not a smart person, but also a kind person who wanted to help others.

Our group worked well together. We met a lot to make sure we were all on the page. We made sure that our presentation was smooth and easy to follow. When it was time to give our presentation we were all confident. Did a great job.

I learned a lot from this assignment. I learned that working together with others can be really rewarding. I also learned that people who make a difference in the world are often brave and hardworking. They are not afraid to try things and they want to help others.

I also realized that the skills we learned in this assignment can be used in all areas of life. We learned how to work how to communicate and how to help each other out. These are skills that we can use in our future careers and in our personal lives.

Marie Curies story taught us that leaders should be selfless and care about others. She did not try to make money from her discoveries. Instead wanted to help people. This is an important lesson for all of us.

Listening to the groups presentations I saw that there are people who make a difference in all areas of life. There are people who fight for what's right who help others and who try to make the world a better place.

I also saw that the way people make a difference has changed over time. A time ago people had to be in positions of power to make a difference.. Now anyone can make a difference using social media and other tools.

Overall I learned a lot from this assignment. I learned about the importance of working being brave and helping others. I also learned that anyone can make a difference, in the world.

The change in how thingsre done shows that good communication is still very important which was the main goal of our class. When we are writing a paper giving a speech or making a digital campaign being able to say what we mean in a clear and persuasive way is what makes people work together. Our presentation about the people who made a difference in the 1900s was not about looking back at history it was also about using the same communication ideas that people used back then to change the world. By looking at how they talked what they did and how they got people involved we learned more about what makes someone a good leader and how to get people to listen.

When we finished the project and got feedback from our classmates it was clear that our presentation was good because we worked well together. Our classmates said that our presentation flowed well our points made sense together and we were all clearly excited about what we were talking about. This is because we spent a lot of time making sure our slides were good practicing what we would say and making sure everyone in the group felt supported. Feeling like we did a job together was a great feeling and it showed that working as a team is the best way to get good results.

In the end our Change Makers presentation was more than something we had to do for class. It was a way to learn about history, research and how to communicate well. Learning about Marie Curie and what she did during the 1900s was very inspiring. It will help us in the future. Working with a team that was supportive and communicated well was an example of how to work together. The things we learned from this project from Marie Curie and from working will help us understand how to be good leaders work with others and make a positive difference, in the world.
